CONCEPT
EISODE is a word invented by Michael Faraday, an electromagnetism researcher, which indicates the "gate through which the current enters".
EISODE presents works that meet a specific definition of generative art . These are linked to technologies insofar as they are based on algorithmic writing systems that unfold over time.
EISODE features installations that require careful attention and a significant amount of time to experience. Each exhibition consists of a single installation. A visit lasts 1 hour.
EISODE offers visits by reservation in two experiential formats. The self-guided experience provides a bubble of interaction with the artwork. The guided experience offers a moment that sharpens the visitor's attention to the artwork.

SELF-CONTAINED EXPERIENCE
A unique experimental protocol at EISODE:
BOOK NOW → To book an appointment with a work of art, reserve a time slot and you will receive instructions on how to access the venue. This is a private visit for 1 to 4 people.
GETTING THERE → EISODE is located in the Ahuntsic district, hidden behind a residential building, near the bike path and the railway. Cross the courtyard and go up the stairs. The code you received by email will allow you to open the door.
EXPERIENCE → Tame the space – it's yours for 1 hour. Take this time to connect with the artwork. Let yourself be immersed in the atmosphere, the sounds, and the details.

ORIGINS
Founded in 2022 by the artists of the organization Artificiel , EISODE responds to a desire to create a space distinct from traditional exhibition venues where numerous works influence each other visually, sonically, and conceptually. It is a space designed to host generative installations and showcase their evolving processes.
EISODE's origins lie in a work created by Artificiel in 2004 entitled 6281. This installation was presented in a vacant apartment, outside of any established distribution network. The key to the apartment served as the invitation. In control of their experience, the public enjoyed a spatial and temporal freedom that positively influenced the quality of their relationship with the work.
